Genesee Lake 4BR Modern Escape

Beautiful private getaway right on Lower Genesee Lake! Our family had a fabulous time paddle boarding, kayaking, and hot tubbing and we loved that we could bring our dogs along for the trip! The house is all updated and was stocked with all of the conveniences. There was plenty of fun to be had in downtown Oconamowa and lots of hiking trails. We fired up the fire pit every night… it was a memorable family getaway!

Very responsive host! Property was perfect for our 3 generations getaway in Wisconsin. All the floors were flat laminate making walking through the ranch home smooth. There were minimal steps on the property which help our older generations enjoy all the property had to offer.

Cute place, it appears to be an older property that was gutted/redone as the finishes are all new. What we liked:1. quiet setting2. big kitchen3. a garage!4. big windows facing the lake (although they don’t open, and LR door doesn’t have a screen - a bummer on cool nights)5. Good ACA few small improvements would have made our stay significantly better. 1. On the listing there was a big note about not using the firepit as it was not part of the property. I was confused because the firepit and chairs are pretty close to the house. And of course we don’t want to trespass! We guessed the firepit was recently moved closer to the house as we saw what appears to be an old firepit on the other side of the bushes. A clear property line would have helped us relax. 2. There were strong room fresheners throughout the house and the linens smelled strongly (to me) of fabric softener. Scents are personal - we found them too strong.3. A few ceramic plates and non-plastic choices would have been great. The kitchen was all plastic and melamine which felt cheap for this price point. (The coffee mugs were ceramic.)4. two sun loungers anywhere would be nice and perhaps 2 chairs by the beach itself to sit near or on it!5. The TV is at a weird angle and far away from the couch in the LR making it hard to settle in and watch. I never found it comfortable. 6. The master br badly needs a dresser with no closet, and the nightstand drawer is barely operational.

We had a wonderful stay. We had 5 couples staying. Lake was peaceful and great for swimming right off the dock.
